Leukerbad is simply the largest thermal spa and wellness resort in the Alps. This village is nestled at 1411 m above sea level in a secluded valley reachable from the Rhone-Valley in between Sion/Sierre and Visp/Brig in the Canton of Valais. The hotel is situated centrally at walking distance to all ameneties, thermal bath and spa's, cable cars, sportscenter and skiarena. The free local bus stops at 50 m. The quiet, centrally located and since 1944 by the same family runned hotel features a restaurant with several differentes spaces and atmospheres as well as a relaxing large garden-terrace. It offers lift, garage and parking lots, banquet/conference room and a wellness area. In addition to a private bathroom with a shower/WC and hairdryer, all of the rooms feature a direct dial telephone, TV, radio, individually regulated air conditioning units and a mini safe. The hotel has a relaxing wellness area with private sauna, steam bath and solarium. From Geneva/Lausanne and Grand-St-Bernard by Motorway A9 direction Brig-Simplon, take exit 29 Sierre-Est and continue on mainstreet nr 9. Turn left at Susten/Leuk direction Leukerbad. Upon arrival in Leukerbad, continue straight ahead on Kantonsstrasse which became Lichtenstrasse. Follow this street until on the left is Gemmi-Cable car station. Turn right and the hotel is the second building on the left. By public transports: With IR-Train until Leuk, then with bus until Leukerbad. Take the free of charge, local "Ring-Jet" Bus until Gemmibahn. The hotel is about 50 m from there.
