Great location close to restaurants, bars and the gothic area of Barcelona. The employees were the most welcoming and helpful we had at the 6 hotels we stayed at in Europe, 3 in Barcelona. they speak a wide range of languages and are more than willing to help translate. The free bottle of wine was an added bonus to this unique style hotel. The noise was cancelled out by the heavy duty balcony doors. It is loud with the windows open, but that is to be expected with the location. I eiff definitely stay here again.

It wasn't a pleasant stay for me and my group. The apartment is quite small for more than two people. The price you see is not what they charge you. Prepare to pay a lot of extras during your stay.

Don’t stay here!
I have never had a worse night in a hotel than I had here. Even with earplugs in the noise from the street was deafening and we couldn’t manage to sleep a wink. Until 6 in the morning we were treated to the party sounds from at least 2 nearby clubs, the people in the streets, barking dogs and cleaning cars. Now that is to be expected near the Ramblas I had stayed near there before, hence the earplugs; but the reason the noise was so bad is because the goddamn windows couldn’t even close. Forget insolation, they couldn’t even close! You’d think if you renovated a whole building near the ramblas you’d make sure the windows close, but I guess thats just me.
The day after, with a migraine thanks to the sleep deprivation, we talked to the receptionist. She informed us that there were no other options available and understood that we wanted to leave, we weren’t the first. She told us to call the next day to speak to her manager. Several phonecalls, emails and weeks later (and one verbal confirmation that we’d be getting a refund) we got an email that we wouldn’t be getting a refund after all.
Tldr: worst stay & service I’ve ever had.

We read about some noise of the city, but this was nothing we've ever experienced. Our stay was a big dissapointment. Windows couldnt be closed and we slept maybe an hour or 2. It was like lying on the street in front of the club around the corner. We left after 1 night. When requesting a refund it gets even worse. After lots of phone calls from manager to manager they tell us a refund is a no go because the receptionist gave us other options. Which was simply not true, the reason we even went for refund was because she told us there were no options and she would contact the manager about such thing...

The room is nice, shower is good sized... You get a kitchenette type of setup with a sink, hot plate, etc. The only complaint or caution that I night have is that there is quite a bit of partying going on until late at night - think like at least 2am - every night we have been here... This may or may not be a problem for you, but I was not aware of it. Also, if you're bringing your family with kids, be aware that there is a "sex shop" a few store fronts down that has some explicit stuff in the windows...
