Pretty standard hotel.
Things to be aware of:
1. They charge around 5x more than they legally should for Tourist accodmation tax.
2. No Netflix or Youtube on TV.
3. Ants will come inside the rooms if you forget to close the Window
Fun tips for Barcelona:
Beware that if you're booking here because its cheaper, keep in mind that Uber or cab costs around 20 Euros to get to the beach near Casino Barcelona. That's around 40 Euros per/day you can add to your budget.
If you're Riding/Renting a Bike, don't use your phone or earphones. You'll be stopped by the police and fined 50 Euros if they see you listening to music on your earphones or using your phone whilst on a bicycle. The laws are strict in Spain.

Perfect and beautiful spa. We were almost completely alone there. It was very surprising why no one else was using their facilities at such a reasonable price. Hotel receptionist as well as the spa staff were all super kind, helpful and nice to talk to.

Hotel muy bien situado en la cuidad, la estancia fue agradable con un buen servicio de todo el personal.Lo peor que nos encontramos fue la piscina que estaba un poco sucia se ve que el servicio de limpieza estaba de vacaciones pero el spa fabuloso y las vistas al Camp Nou estupendas.

Great hotel, friendly staff and perfect location.As I have stayed at the Senator Spa on a previous occasion I had a lovely letter from them and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil as a gift and this was in my room when I returned after a day out. The rooms are spotlessly clean as is the whole hotel. I will be returning here again.

Really nice hotel with spa in the basement and a pool in the 8 floor. Stuff is friendly and really nice. There is also a restaurant and a garage. Executive rooms have a king size bed, I think it's totally worth it the upgrade. I totally recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, The service from checkin to checkout was excellent the staff are very willing to help! With anything my thanks to them all.The room was great with a very comfy bed. The breakfast was plentiful and I recommend the freshly made omelettes. Unfortunately i didn't get time to use the spa facilities. But the location was brilliant if you want to be visit FC Barcelona as I did. Many thanks to all at this hotel i will definitely recommend to others and also shall return again myself.

Convenient location next to university and Camp Nou, 7 minutes walk from the metro line station that will take you to airport. Quiet location. Great breakfast. Nice personal. Great spa. A little bit far from major tourist attraction you will spend 40-50 minutes to be at the major places. Good for families with kids.

Check in is after 2pm. We booked 2bed room that says on booking double or two single beds and we were a couple. When asked for double bed was told we would then need to upgrade to king size to get non two single beds. Nowhere to find chek in time and in order to check in earlier we had to pat 20 euros extra and get that king size room. However, this king size room was even worse than 3 star hotel rooms in other less economically established countries. Once you run water in the toilet a hard sewerage smell comes and takes ages for water to get warm.

Just got back home after having a splendid weekend for my partners birthday weekend. Hotel Senator was a fantastic place to stay, great friendly staff who were there to help, very polite , we even arrived back home to the room last night to be greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne for my partners birthday. Listed as a 4 * hotel. I have stayed in better 3* hotels than this. Decor seems like it has not been changed since the 1990's. Good buffet breakfast but expensive. Sometimes it is better to say nothing; it speaks volumes!

Our stay was amazing. Truly. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Upgraded to the king room and it was great space for both of us. The prices at the bar were extremely reasonable. The morning breakfast was only 4,5 euros and featured toast, spread, and coffee with juice. Very good. The restaurant’s food was great, too. Will absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to be walking distance to the Metro and Camp Nou (as well as the hop-on-hop-off buses).

Very good stay. Most staff speak English, excellent rooms (if you upgrade) nice food, (only down side, no one does bacon like the English) great bar food (Chicken burger is mmmm). If you want evening entertainment this hotel is not for you. Metro is 10 minutes walk away. Nice roof top pool.
