Lindo hotel. Ótima localização. Atendentes atenciosos. Foi muito legal ficar hospedado ali pois nos deu acesso a tudo muito facilmente. Tanto das lojas ao redor podendo ir a pé qua do usando Cable Car e Muni. Uma experiência e tanto.

This was literally the worst hotel experience my friend and I have ever endured. There was a traumatic incident one night where another guest banged on our door then chased out of the building for no valid reason. There was no receptionist nor security when this incident had occurred, ironic when they promote “comfortable hospitality.” There was no sense of comfort knowing that were was no staff in the lobby when that happened, luckily we’re physically okay but that is not an experience anyone should have to go through. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE.

Excellent Rooms - the photos are exactly what you get. The hotel has just recently reopened since Covid (Sept 2021) and has limited housekeeping due to covid (charged at $35-50) . For free, the Herbert Hotel will arrange fresh sheets and towels but you have to make the bed yourself if you want a re-fresh mid stay.
A lot of the hotel is rented out long term to permanent residents. It's worth mentioning just in case you are next to the guy with the really loud TV. When you choose a room you may have to sacrifice the view for the peace and quiet. I found this to be a blessing, as I had a great view for the first 4 days with a little noise, and then went to a very quiet room with a more obscured view of Powell St.
The Herbert Hotel is run by the Bartlett Hotel across the street. The Herbert has no staff on site and pretty much runs on a key card system which is very private and quite nice and hassle free. The elevator to the 5th floor was very quick and I didn't really ever have to wait for long. The staff I did see - housekeeping and maintenance - were very professional as you would expect. I ran into a couple of other guests but generally felt I had the place to myself.
Room wise there is a lovely new bed and suspended furniture including a desk to work at and a safe. There were plenty of power sockets and the wifi was super fast. If you are looking for a hotel on a budget in a great location - this is the one for you. Remember you are paying for what you get - this is no frills, but what you get is done great! * And great water pressure too and a huge refrigerator for my daily leftovers and milk for my coffee.
TV wise - it is quite limited to US cable channels. I found plugging in my MAC and watching netflix on my MAC ended up being my best bet. I was able to eventually also set up my new Sonos One Alexa but that's another story...

We were a little worried from some of the reviews initially, but this place was exactly as advertised. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished and the location was perfect. We would stay here again.

I booked the room via Airbnb. The room was very clean. I will say that there is no AC which made the room very uncomfortable, but that wasn't the only thing. The Hotel Is haunted!! there is just a strange lurking feeling. From writings on the mirror in the bathroom to dark shadows next to your bed. It was really creepy. I did not sign up for that.

I did a reservation from may 16th to the 23th thought booking and they send an email a couple of days before my check in telling me that they have to change the reservation to another hotel. This new relocation it was in The Bartlett hotel which was a completedifferent hotel: the entry smell really bad,the room was really old and they pretend to charge us with the same price as appears in booking and just for 2 persons (we are 3), this place is just horribleI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL

Buscando hotel para la fecha del viaje no fue tarea fácil, y más aún cuando había un evento en San Francisco que prácticamente colapsó toda la disponibilidad, haciendo que los precios parecieran una locura. Después de tantobuscar y de no querer alojarme lejos del centro, encontré este hotel que está muy bien, céntrico, a menos de 150 metros de la estación Powell del Cablecar y de la Union Square. Como podrán imaginarse, no hubo problemas para entrar y salir, cerca de todo o con posibilidad de acceder a todo por su ubicación. El personal de hotel es muy amable y hacen todo lo posible por entenderte y por orientarte. Tienes la posibilidad de tomar mapas en el lobby para moverte por la ciudad. Mi reserva era con desayuno incluido, el cual lo tomas en un restaurante de otro hotel de la cadena, y les confieso que esta muy bueno, muy rica la comida y las atenciones de su personal. No me cansaré de desayunar sus papas bravas, sus huevos revueltos o fritos, pero sobretodo su tocineta salchichas,mundiales. El nombre del restaurant es Bartlett House de The Bartlett Hotel. La habitación era muy cómoda, con su baño privado y con aire acondicionado,el cual no usamos porque la temperatura de la ciudad estaba muy agradable. En fin, regresaré a este hotel y probaré también en el Bartlett.

I made a reservation for what looked like a fun hotel.During the reservation process and subsequent emails,check-in was listed as " starting at 9am". Check-out at 11am. When I called the hotel the day before, and the office was closed at 7pm, I went to the website.There was an added paragraph in yellow that said that due to covid 19, check-in was only between 1-3pm. No check in after.When I had to cancel my reservation because I could not arrive by 3pm, they thought I should still pay for my reservation! I received no communication about the changes to check-in time. Luckily,the 3rd party service I used,refunded my money completely,and helped me get anotherhotel room.I wish I'd been able to stay.

Visited a friend for an afternoon. Lots of natural light, refrigerator, queen size bed, private bathroom, 1 chair, no desk or table but small counter substitute with coffeemaker. It's clean and attractive with a bit of contemporary style. One brick wall, one muted medium blue, two creamy white. Enough space that three of us could socially distance 10 feet apart.

Es económico para la zona en la que esta. La habitación es coqueta, sencilla.La ubicación es muy buena. Pero no compensa la mala insonorización de la habitación, las que dan a Powell es imposible dormir por las noches por culpa del ruido. Las instalaciones son antiguas y la limpieza deja mucho que desear. Pedimos que nos limpiasen la habitación y lo único que hacían era la cama, cambiar las toallas y vaciar las papeleras.Hay días que solo teníamos toallas para uno, otro día faltaba la de las manos, el lavabo no lo han limpiado ninguno de los días, la ventana estaba bastante sucia... Los botes de gel tamaño XXL que tienen en el baño no se deben limpiar nunca. Los recepcionistas es lo único bueno del hotel, son agradables y te resuelven lo que necesites. Si quieres dormir bien y descansar, este no es tu hotel. Mucho Ruido!!!! Le doy dos estrellas solo por los recepcionistas, pero se merece menos!!

Muy buena opción para conocer la Ciudad. Este hotel está situado Justo donde empieza el Cable car. Las habitaciones era bastante grande, reformado y bastante limpio.

La ubicación del hotel está más o menos bien. Muy cerca de unión square y con tiendas y bares muy próximos. La habitación también estaba bien en cuanto a tamaño y la cama era cómoda. Lo sorprendente es que la habitación tenía cuesta!!! Podíamos echar carreras con las maletas. El baño era bastante normal

Buena ubicación, en pleno centro. Puedes ir andando a muchas atracciones locales. La ropa de cama podría estar más limpia y los colchones muy blandos, si tienes problemas de espaldas te despertarás todos los días con dolor.
